Picnic in the woods

Last Saturday was my grandson’s eighth birthday and as part of the day’s celebrations, he asked my daughter to have a lunchtime picnic in a local park. Happily they invited me to come along. It was a beautiful spring day, and I had as much fun as the kids did! We ate by the water’s edge, opened his gifts, and of course fed the ducks and geese,lol, then walked along the wooded areas pathways for a while.

It was one of those areas that just soothes your soul and recharges your energy – we all loved & needed this little break in the daily routine. Sorry, this is not really a gardening blog, but I just had to share the beauty of the day with you all…..
