Well first thanks to all for the warm welcomes, I’m glad a joined the gang.. and glad to have bolstered the male contingent too!

Minor excitement in the greenhouse two Tomatilo’s have germinated. I have never grown or eaten the fruit but I read it’s an essential for authentic Mexican salsa. Has anyone had any experience??

Not a lot else moving at them moment, we have had several sharp frosts which I’m hoping will break down the beds I have forked over.

I had a request for tomato plants from my Dad and I was going to sow a few but decided to hold fire and plant by the moon. The 21st/21nd are good for fruiting plants I shall keep a few and compare with others planted out of phase. I’m intrigued as to the benefits.. will they produce a heavier crop???

I will post some pic soon, the garden looks desolate at the moment but I like the idea of the ‘weeds and all’ view so I’ll be out at the weekend. Meanwhile I’ll post a pic of long tailed tit which, along with a few of it’s friends has started frequenting the garden…

Aren't the long-tailed Tits just beautiful. We get them, too. They are often in groups on the bird feeder, I've counted as many as seven all at once! My bird book says they like to huddle together when they perch at night. Aaaah! I wonder where? My camera is just not up to taking photos at the range of the feeder - wish it were! Your photo is so clear.
