Gardening is a Great Hobby

My front yard and back yard are now ready to harvest. We have sweet potatoes, yams, butternut squash, peppers, lettuce, eggplants, tomatoes and flowers. I will be adding pictures of the yard now that I am back on this site from being away.

Know how you feel, Organictomato. We're just swanning around with big heads, congratulating each other on our garden produce and how wonderful it is to sit down to an evening meal of roast wild boar (compliments of our neighbours) with our own potatoes, onions, French beans, runner beans with home-made home-grown sage & onion stuffing; after a lunch of our lettuce and tomatoes with home-made bread and home-made basil pesto, followed by a cuppa with jam tarts - with home-made pastry and home-made plum jam of course. Oooh! I can feel my head swelling as I type! I know I'm not alone - I'm sure many GOYers make full use of their talents to produce wonderful meals - but doesn't it make you feel good!!

Thank you so much for these notes. Peppers are beautiful Wohlibu! They add so much to a garden and in salads, etc. Keep on gardening... its such a healthy all around hobby! Lee
Nartz, What a great acknowledgment. i will take a cuppa with jam tarts any morning. I have this amazing feeling feeding my friends and family right from the garden for only about $500 a year -- with tons of leftovers for making homemade spaghetti sauce. Gotta get your blog on homemade onion stuffing.
Best to you,
Lee

It all sounds delicious!
Peppers have been my big producer this year esp. the Jalapeno's Yum! Can't wait to see the pics.
