CUTTING GARDEN

I AM CURRENTLY RE-VAMPING MY FRONT GARDEN. MY NEIGHBOUR (A RETIRED BUILDER) HAS JUST BUILT ME A LOVELY WALL SO THAT I CAN CREATE A NEW BORDER WHICH I HOPE TO HAVE AS A CUTTING PATCH. I HAVE MOVED & RE-VITALISED THE EXISTING PLANTS & SHRUBS INTO THE OTHER BORDERS IN MY FRONT GARDEN, LEAVING PLENTY OF ROOM FOR NEW BEGINNINGS! I AM CURRENTLY CULTIVATING CHRYSANTHS, DIANTHUS, FREESIAS,CHINCHERINCHEES, GYPSOPHYLA, LILIUM, SIDALCIA, SWEET PEAS,ECHINACEA & MORE, ALL SHOULD BE GOOD FOR CUTTING OR MAYBE I WILL JUST ENJOY THEM IN SITU!!

hi Poppy!
I second that...you are lucky to have a builder nearby.
I love having flowers in my house...but it's always a dilemma between leaving them in the garden or cutting them... this way we have our cake and eat it too!!lol.
Good Luck!

I find it very difficult to go and cut flowers from the garden - if I had an area just for cutting, maybe I wouldn't mind....I end up buying flowers when we do the weekly shop at the moment.

Good luck on your new cutting garden. Lucky you to have a retired builder as a neighbor :)
