Quick trip to my fav. local G.C. this morning; needed another polyhouse. Also bought a beautiful red freesia (no name), a couple of small azaleas ( got plans for them). Top bargain; found just one little pot amongst everything with a Skimmia Japonica in it, only £2.99, small but healthy as anything, you just know it’s going to do well so a good buy. What else, oh some chilli plug plants, a couple of peppers & tomato plants.
So after lunch, sunny afternoon so outside to sow some cosmos for filling gaps later.Potted on the tomato plug plants. My “trainee gardener” John tackled the once dwarf conifers that I planted in the wall pots some years ago & are now too big. Got them out & planted them in the big containers that my daughter was digging in; they need a bit of tlc but I think will be fine. My new Azaleas are going in the pots in the wall for a bit of colour each side of the steps for a change.
Took quite a while to sweep up after madam had finished digging but what the heck she loved it, moving soil from here to there!
Must tackle the borders this week to get the soil prepared as all the earlier stuff in the polyhouse is now garden ready. Lots of weeding & digging.
Everything had a good bask in the sun today, lovely!
