Thanks Costas.
Yes Lincslass, it certainly helped to have a new camera.
Glad you both enjoyed the Autumn shades.

Looks like a very nice place to live, Alex...

It certainly can be a nice place t live, as long as the neighbours behave.
The local council are looking for a place on the estate to use as a vegetable garden for the residents to use.

How fantastic - it infuriates me that 'sheltered' accommodation offers no space outside for people to potter a bit. I mean, even when you're elderly, being able to go out and pot up something and keep it watered is good, better than being trapped inside all the time. I don't know why they don't give them balconies at the very least... Having said that, I'm not implying you're in sheltered, I don't know whether you are or not, but I've been looking at what's available for later on, when I can't manage 3 flights of stairs any more, lol!

I am 21 at the end of this month, so am not in sheltered accomodation.
I live on a small family council estate, and we have plenty of grass for the kids to play on and most blocks are 3 floors high, and have no balconoes, but gardens are given to ground floor residents, and a small area of concrete out the front of the ground floor windows which a few use for pots. These blocks have a communal balcony for the 2 flats on each level, but is very shady and so they are generally used for storage
We have two 7 floor blocks which have 4 flats per floor 2 studios in the middle and two 2 bedroom flats on the corners. The 2 bedroom flats have a small balcony which some use for pot plants and airing their washing.
I am hoping to grow high yielding cherry tomatoes next year, and the spot out the front of my flat is perfect for Sun and I can keep an eye on them in the pot and care for them.
Just have to keep an eye on the kids to stop them pinching them.
The veggie patch is a good idea, as this will encorage the kids and their parents to grow veg.
We already have a small patch dedicated to a small blue butterfly which lives in a small nature reserve near-by.
Wow, just realised how long my comment is. I hope is makes sense and you didn't get bored reading it.

21 at the end of the month - I'm trying to work out whether that's serious or tongue in cheek, Alex...

I just realised that 21 is also used for those who are a bit older. Some people are 21 many times over.
This will be my first time as a 21 year old male.
