My poor prunus
2 comments
My 8 year old Prunus subhirtella autumnalis is looking very unhealthy. There are very few leaves on the tree and when I snap the ends of the branches they are dead.
Any ideas what’s wrong with it please and suggestions as to how i can save it.

Thanks Driad, but you have more optimism than I. I think I'll try to prune off the dead twigs and hope for the best.

Well , Lottiegal , don't know what has happened there , but my Prunus (something or other ) had lovely blossom in May , followed by leaf-curl that killed all the leaves .
I sprayed with a mixture of liquid detergent and a tiny bit of Jeyes , very diluted , but nothing helped ......... then a couple of days ago I was by the tree and looked up , lo and behold , it is in blossom again !
It is about 7 yrs old .
Hopefully yours will rally too .
