A Little Evening Wurble

No. it’s not a creature with lots of legs and eyes on stalks. You’ll see.
My parsley has bolted. Now, I know it hasn’t got the best spot in the garden but it didn’t have to rush off like that. Ho hum.
Hoping to get a couple of plants identified, I trundled merrily out to take photos. BATTERY LOW!!! Have I got more? Of course not. That would be just too efficient.
High point of the day (correction; second high point of the day). I spotted my first Hummingbird Hawk Moth of the year. I doubt whether I shall be able to photograph it; they move much too fast. That doesn’t mean I won’t try.
I also rescued a lovely little female Muslin Moth from the greenhouse. It was a shame to disturb her rest, but she wouldn’t have been able to get out when I closed up for the night.
A few days ago I ordered 10 mixed Busy Lizzies; I was a few short. When the ‘jumbo’ plugs arrived, they were awful. Bone dry and yellowed leaves. Anyway, with a bit of TLC they recovered, and the buds have broken. They’re all WHITE!! I had a moan. It pays to moan, sometimes. Received an email this morning. Another pack is being sent, FOC. I refuse to name names.
How do snails get to the top of a garden cane when there are pellets all round the base? I have grudgingly had to resort to pellets this year. My hedgehogs have moved on. At least I won’t be stepping on little cylinders of black squidge when I go out in the garden in the mornings. Well, I can’t say s—-, can I?
Cookie, my cat, two years old, bless her, has discovered she can climb the Silver Birch tree. I’m surprised it’s taken her this long. Caught her peeping at me through the leaves. I think she took umbrage when I laughed at her attempts to get down again. I’ve hung a pot of sweet peas on one of the lower
branches and she thought it would be a good idea to step on that, until it moved. Talk about wild-eyed. I left her to it and walked away, chuckling.
Well, I think that’s enough wurbling for one night. Hope you enjoyed it.
Bye bye. Me gone.

quick question, when you say your parsley has bolted, what does that mean?

Sorry Mookins. It's a common term usually applied to vegetables. When a plants 'bolts' it goes prematurely to seed instead of developing into a viable crop. Onions and parsley are renowned for it. Hope that helps.
