brassica clubroot

i have grown cabbage cauli and all brassica for a number of years now with very good results but my soil is very acid so i get the inevitable clubroot iv"e tried liming but to no avail i have eaten the produce with o ill effects, does any gardiners know how to solve my problem at the least expense please!.
