Though I am too busy to blog these days,I have put two pictures for my friends. Its the time of paddy plantation in our country. The people are enjoying the same.I am really sorry for the poor quality of the pictures.
Our country is a poor country with traditional system of farming. We still use ox to plough our fields in many parts of Nepal. The labour force required in the agricultural sector is still manual.

Thanks for the interesting information and photos. The tractors they have here are very noisy and pollute the air. I think an ox is slower but quieter and more natural :o)

Thanks friends for taking things so positively.

Our systems of agriculture here can be so destructive - so much wildlife is killed or injured by tractors and plows and everything else.
The area I live in is very conservative and relatively poor, but there's a real movement to go back to the old ways of farming. For example - raising grass-fed cattle rather than factory-farmed animals, using toads & lizards for pest control instead of spraying chemicals, etc. We have a small farmers market & nearly all the farmers who sell their produce there are organic growers. I would much rather buy from them than from the grocery store.

Oh what a brilliant way of utilising the natural resourses without harming the ecological system.Due to the lack of assess to modern way of growing, many people of my country are still going for organic. But due to the lack of advance technology in that, our prodution is not so fruitful.

It would be better for the Planet if we all used traditional farming methods and we were less greedy. In the West we often have 'factories' rather than farms and treat the animals as things rather than sentient beings:-(

Maybe in order to save our planet we will all have to do things 'manually' lol. It's nice and also interesting to talk to someone from Nepal, thanks for showing us your pics. I look forward to seeing more.
