Taking cuttings

Here, here ! Keep on with the cuttings =))

I made my lavender plant huge by laying down the stems & poking bent wires into the ground to hold it down. Guess it would have been easier to just buy a couple of new plants to fill it but where would the fun be in that. (it took a few years)

Yes it's very satisfying to see something grow into a lovely plant.

Its like seeing an infant growing up.

That is one area of gardening that I've only tried once . . . it was an epic failure :) All of my cuttings grew mold and died, but I don't think I really had the proper set-up for what I was doing. Can cuttings be taken mid-season? Maybe I'll try again . . .

I agree, and now is the perfect time to take soft wood cuttings :-)
