Sowing the seeds part 2

Sunday 2nd March
It was the second weekend of really nice weather, so decided to go to Haskins to get some Raspberries, Peppers, Strawberries and Rhubarb to plant out in the Garden.
Lochlan helped me plant the Raspberry and Strawberries, only didn’t want to stop watering them….he loves to water :o)
We planted the Raspberry against a trellis already in the garden, and re-used an old plastic moving box for the Strawberries.
The next stage was to plant the potatoes that I have been chitting into a big 160cm by 60cm planter I built and an old metal bin we could re-use.
Next planted the peppers into another old pot and placed put them in the greenhouse, ready to plant out into pots when the weather is nicer.
We have a lot of old pots, bins and boxes, so rather than waste money on new ones, have decided to recycle them and do my bit for the environment…
Sarah got down to some back breaking work hoeing the plots and entertaining Brenna.
First seeds are starting to come through in the greenhouse, a couple of peas and Radishes have shoots already, has only been two weeks, we are amazed :o)

I like your idea of using up old pots etc. I like to do this also. I drill and use old teapots with broken lids and rusty old metal cookware also. It makes your garden look very eclectic! : )
