O how I love my garden.

I may only be brand new at gardening but I can say with confidence, I am going to be doing this for a long time.
My soil is amazing and so alive. My plants sprout in no time and grow so fast. Yeah I’m constantly weeding, but it makes me feel more connected with my plants. I plan to mulch eventually but until I make more beds I’m really not in a hurry.
I am writing this for my future self who I imagine will be cursing the weeds, waring on with birds, and crying over bugs and grubs. The first few seedlings that I sprouted, the first time we ate food I had produced brought me so much happiness and pride. I hope gardening will always bring me this much joy.

Welcome to GOY....yes, gardening has its frustrations and ups and downs but, what doesn't?
You certainly have chosen a fullfilling hobby. Growing veg is a very satisfying pastime.

Hi Clayfield, welcome to GoY. I still feel the same as you after forty years of gardening. We are off to Noosa in three weeks so I will show you my photos when we get back. It is very cold here in Scotland so hang on to some warm weather please.

Everything you have said in your blog is so true about gardening, it feels great to see everything you accomplish and do through planting in the garden etc.
