I have a ornamental rhubarb

I have a ornamental rhubarrb which some of leaves have gone very tatty due to the bads wind. Can I cut them off and will they grow again this year, as I have enter this in the village show.
I like to say thank you to anyone who answer this, as i do not know how to reply. Any help please.

first yes trim off the tatty ones and then new growth should be fine.
