Just a bit more

I managed another 3/4 of an hour this afternoon weeding the herbaceous border before my back said time to stop.
We have decided on the way forward. I am going to go to B & Q and get their 125L bags of compost, it will be one a week, we will spread it over the bed, and repeat in the autumn. OH will go to the local stables and get horse manure which we will put on top of the autumn compost. I can only get one bag at a time, they are so heavy. B & Q will only deliver loads over £100. A large builders bag is 100L and costs £109.00 six bags of compost, bought on a wednesday is less than half that and there is more compost, so a deeper layer on the bed.
We have also altered the plans for the patio, its going to be bigger, will just leave a small border by the hedge, so I have to move 4 plants. The camellia will go in a pot the other plants further up the garden.

Goodness Csarina, you sound very organised! That sounds like a good manageable plan.

Hi Csarina, sounds like you have your work cut out for you. I've decided to do the same, as in add compose to my garden. I can't get hold of any manure near me. I don't know if you have a morrisons near you but they have 40L bags for £2 or 3 bags of 70L for £9 so I've been stocking up from there. Good luck with your plan :-). Jen
