is the acer in a pot ? otherwise you wont be able to move until the Autumn , the older they get the more tough they become

Its about three months that we've had it, was not at all happy, I asked a question on here about it yesterda, also spoke to the garden centres specialist about it. Fingers crossed it will be fine. Hostas have taken its place :)

if only just planted should be ok being moved just dont let it dry out this year or next till its rooted in ...

I won't. I've been giving it lots of water this last week because I thought it was drying out, but it's got not shortage today, it's had a good soaking when I've moved it and now it's heavy raining :)
