Patio Roses on cold sub-standard clay soil was ok.
BUT I should have mentioned the strong stems need cutting down after flowering.
I didnt do mine last year. Am having a deuce of a job
reducing the thorny forest now, into a tidy hedge.
I cut each piece into 8" lengths into a large bucket.
Thank heaven for the Council recycling wheelie bin.
Couldnt have them in my compost bins.
As always, we live and learn.
