for the Friends of our local library to encourage people to make more use of the library, particularly the reference
section. With Govt cut backs we all have to help to preserve our libraries and prevent their closure.
If any GOY members would like to write a booklet about their garden, their family, hilarious holidays or any subject of interest to them to use as gifts, I can help them if they write to me in the private members’ section.
They will need a computer and printer.

An interesting idea - I'm all for libraries, having worked in them all my life. How do you visualise your suggestion encouraging more use of the library please? Would they be used as gifts to people who don't use it, and if so how would you know who to give them to? Not making difficulties, just reallyinterested in your idea. Publicity is such a difficult problem, I was never any good at it.
