Pine Trees

My mom planted a pine tree not sure of the name it has the long pine needles somewhere around 15 – 20 years ago. This year we decided to collect some of the seeds and try to grow a few. I plan to be in a house of my own in a year or two and want to plant one of the pine trees we grew together! We read online that you can plant right away or you have to let them go through a winter cycle. Since we have never done this before and don’t know what is better we decided to do both. I will keep you informed on further progress! – FT

If. I want to stratify seeds (period of cold) I put the pot......covered in some netting to deter the mice etc. and put them in a coldframe or cold gh until the spring when hopefully there will be signs of growth but if not keep looking after therm as some seets can take quite a while to germinate.......good luck
