Non-Blooming Liriope
3 comments
I have read several entries about liriope an the fact that they don’t bloom for many gardeners. Well, I am one of those gardeners who is about to dig up my liriope and plant something I know will bloom. I live in the mid-west and this is the first perennial I have had trouble with. Where I used to live, some 100 miles from here, I remember them with beautiful purple spike blooms. Can anyone help here?

I had lots of flowers on them in my previous garden, but after moving here (and bringing them with me) I've had nothing - just leaves. It's been 6 years now so if they don't flower this year they'll get chucked away ...

I've struggled to get mine to bloom, but the year before last I gave them a good feed (and a stiff talking to) which has done the job
