My Early Girl tomatoes have kind of a hard core inside when you cut them. Is there something that can be done to prevent this from happening when the tomatoes are growing? It has to be removed as it’s almost unchewable and there’s hardly any tomatoes left when you cut this “core” out.

I heard so done say once that a fluctuation in temperature (ie very low night time temperatures) an cause this but I'm sure there are other reasons and varieties vary of course, as Pam says!
