Plug Plants A Go-Go!
Blimey it seemed a long way in coming but finally we are here!
Garden centres are full of plug plants. My greenhouses are full of the little blighters, Geraniums, Petunias, Fushcias, Begonias, Lobelia etc. All of them (fingers crossed) will be winging their way to new homes very soon, as the car boot season is set to start this weekend, weather permitting.
I’m taking cuttings from my stock Fuchsias, they are so easy to do, next on my list is Busy Lizzies.
The best way to start these little gems, I have found is using a plastic cup, I brought mine from my local £1 shop, filling with either vermiculite or perlite as this will support your cuttings, fill with water and gently push your cuttings in, keeping the water topped up. In 5 weeks you will have strong root growth and they will be ready to pot on.
Isn’t Mother Nature Wonderful!

I shall try fuchsia cutting as you suggest. I have lots of fuchsias but have always found them difficult to propagate. Thanks for the information :o)
