single bulb bought from the flower shop in collier row oct08 thives in wet soil but will not tolerate prolonged waterlogging in winter. in summer the stout floral spikes bear masses of starry blue flowers - do not like root distubance, like to be planted deep.
hieght 3ft flowering time june-july sun or part shade, propergation by root division every 5 years during autumn.
i have planted it in the new blue and white trellis area in amonst some geranium splish slash that i grew from seed, so that i know where it is.
