Livingstone daisy 'Dorotheanthus'
Genus: Mesembryanthemum.
Species: Mesembryanthemum crystallinum.
Really electric and bright colors, this plant enjoys heat and full sun. On cloudy days or in cooler wet weather the flowers will form but remain closed. Didn't need any special treatment, but I did have it in a new bed with plenty of nourishment. Plants spread along the ground for 12-16 inches, perhaps wider given more season. As hanging, the flower show was nice but the plant sagged a bit and couldn't hold up in wet conditions, if used this way, I'd plant towards the center of the basket to give it more support. Should tolerate any planter well given its like of drier warmer condition.
