Genus: Tradescantia.
Species: Tradescantia spathacea.
My husband bought it at Whole Foods supermarket and within a month I have repotted it. It is very invasive and makes an absolutely beautiful indoor floor plant. No problem growing this plant in Philadelphia!!! Just give it a lot of sun. I can't keep up with it!
