Genus: Chilopsis.
Species: Chilopsis linearis.
I planted this 5 gallon tree in late spring of 2007. The blossoms started immediately. The tree has struggled. The leaves are not staying healthy. It was not draining well. I had someone dig up the soil all around it about 5 feet down and loosen the impacted rocks below. Has shown some improvement. We will see.
