Trachelospermum jasminoides variegatum - Star jasmine (tricolour)

Genus: Trachelospermum.

Species: Trachelospermum jasminoides.

Common name: Five Colour Star Jasmine
Botanic name: Trachelospermum jasminoides variegatum (tricolor)
Family: Apocynaceae

It is a compact, slow growing form with mottled and variegated tri-colour leaves: dark-green, white and bright pink. Low-growing, creeping plant. Originated in Thailand. Fabulous hot-pink new growth, which later turns to cream splashed on green. Fragrant white flowers.

It does not flower well, and is grown as a ground cover for foliage contrast. Drought tolerant, loves full sun and a hot head (needs heat to grow). Does well in containers. Can be used in hanging baskets.
