Sometimes called Star of Persia. Huge globes of small, star-shaped, pinkish-purple flowers followed by striking long lasting seed heads. Folliage starts to look tatty by flowering time so plant in middle of border where other plants can hide the leaves.

likes full sun on well-drained soil.
Care: don't overfeed or deadhead. Divide large clumps in autumn or spring.
