Sweet Peppers / hot peppers.
Genus: Capsicum.
Species: Capsicum annuum.
Although treated as annuals these are actually perennials, I may try to nurse a couple through the winter!

theirs grow so tall because they start them in November in heated greenhouses and grow as cordons like tomatoes taking out the sideshoots.
Chilli peppers need potassium found in tomato feed and bonfire ash.
