White alder (Turnera subulata can be used either as a perennial ground cover or a small shrub. Tropical
America and the Caribbean are listed as sites of
origin.

The plant is rounded and will reach a height
and width ranging between two and three feet. For
best flowering it prefers full sun but will tolerate and
bloom in partial shade. White Adler is moderately drought tolerant once established.

It has striking hibiscus-like blooms. The blooms are a cream with a dark centre, which open in the morning and close by evening. The next day new blooms open. Blooming is all year round.
