Kalanchoe blossfeldiana is a glabrous branching herb native to Madagascar. They are succulent plants and the fleshy, dark shiny green leaves will reach around 7cm long by up to 3cm wide with lobed edges.
Many hybrid forms available today, coming in a variety of sizes and floral colours that reach from dwarf plants only 15 cms tall to plants over 45cms.
The flowers consist of four petals and range from the traditional red to yellows, oranges, salmon, to pink and almost any colour in between.
