This north Queensland tree is native to the Atherton Tablelands area. It has fibrous bark on the base of the trunk followed by smooth bark which is usually greenish.
It's leaves are broad, larger than most eucalypts, and have a bristly texture.
Flowers in masses of scented white balls on the outside of the foliage. The fruits - gumnuts - are globular in shape and 1 cm long and wide.
