Delphinium "black knight"
I grew these magnificient delphiniums from seed last year. Everyone warned me that they are a great favourite with slugs and snails, so I grew them to good sized plants in pots and them planted them out.
This year's shoots are just emerging and I am protecting them by piling generous amounts of crushed eggshells around the shoots. Fingers crossed - it seems to be working so far!
