Genus: Philadelphus.
Species: Philadelphus coronarius.
Planted May 2000 in back garden very free flowering deciduous plant. creamy-white cup shaped flowers in June-July. Thrives in dry soil and is ok for sun or shade. Fragrant in flower grows to about 8ft.
REMOVED completely as it was very old and not performing well despite cutting out the old growth. replaced with Viburnum tinus `variegatum`.
