Silverberry
Genus: Elaeagnus.
Species: Elaeagnus commutata.
Silverberry is a wild shrub that does grow in our area, though the only one that I have gotten to look at is at the botanical garden. I do love the plant. A soft sweet fragrance when in flower and an elegant silvery look. This is one I wouldn't mind cultivating myself, often thinking of taking a cutting or something, but it is very slow growing and here it will be even slower.
