Species: Salvia microphylla.
Bought at carboot sale in Hayling Island April 2010 for £3. The variety is 'Hot Lips'. This is a strange plant because the colour of the flowers seems to reflect the growing conditions and range between all-red as in the photo, to the usual red/white bicolour to all-white late in the season - all on the same plant.
