'Salome' is a very reliable variety which produces cream flowers with peach-pink trumpets. The Royal Horticultural Society have given it their prestigious Award of Garden Merit. It can tolerate most soils that are well-drained but moist during the growing season. Plant bulbs at one and half times their own depth in sun or partial shade. Daffodils will sometimes fail to flower. Common causes are bulbs being planted too shallowly, damage to the foliage the previous season, and clumps becoming too congested.
