Scotsgran's Garden
Laburnum
This was in the garden with 2 others when we bought our home 38 years ago. Contrary to expectations we have had no mishaps with children mistaking the seed pods for peas. Every year we give away self sown seedlings and a few of the neighbours have been gifted a tree by the birds. One of the original trees died and the wood was taken by a wood work teacher at the local high school. Our minister who acted as go between in the gift was given a lovely hand turned mushroom for his trouble, fashioned from the wood. If you ever cut down a tree especially leylandii offer it for recycling in this way.
