Species: Buddleja davidii.
Thats it on the right. I started pruning it before it occurred to me to wonder whether it was the right time. No flowers in evidence this year, or maybe they aren't supposed to be any yet? I'll have to look into it. I've already discovered that I should have pruned it a couple of months ago!
