Clematis 'Olgae'
Genus: Clematis.
Species: Clematis integrifolia.
Ah, what a name. Anyhow, this little clematis seemed to survive over the winter well although I didn't think it was as big as i expected it to be, height wise anyway. This year it was all three feet, lots of canes and a nice wide spread. A real beauty where you can mix it in and it gets support from its partners. I have some tall monarda and ligularia near it and a small prunus triloba. This was the first of now three integrifolias, small and hardy, but packing a real punch. I planted lots of stirred in bone meal in the hole and feed over top again each spring.
