Ajuga 'chocolate chip'
Genus: Ajuga.
Species: Ajuga reptans.
Little groundcover beauty with dark tinted leaves, like chocolate. Blue flower on upright spikes in spring can really be lovely. I haven't got that far yet. My favorite thing is I have seen them do very well coming through winter and like most late spring flowers, blooms midsummer here. Hard to get those early things. I have given this all the ground beneath the lilac and clematis, should enjoy it there beneath those bigger hosts. I'll keep updating.
