Bleeding heart
Genus: Dicentra.
Species: Dicentra spectabilis.
So on reminding myself of the name of this plant, I find it renamed to Lamprocapnos. Frustrating when that happens~ Anyway, lovely plant that likes protection form elements and sun. It seems to thrive here in interior alaska, although mine has never been so happy here. I think it likes a heavy compost soil, so I might do some amending and see if it improves for me. I haven't had any trouble with it. I have had more success with planting in the green than planting a bare root. If bare root is used, spoil it in a nice ample pot and let it establish there before planting out.
