Trollius: 'golden queen'

Trusted to almost 100% up here, interior alaska, the globe flower seems to love it. Left in the wild it would just grow and grow, although I don't think they reseed successfully, at least not anywhere near that rate. My trollius, back to it, was introduced to the garden in 2007 in a box above ground. It lived and bloomed each year, despite being eaten once by the neighbors goat, but it just never got bigger like expected. Feeding, clipping, tending, nothing seemed to make the least bit difference. But 2011 I move it to a bed in the ground early spring, and it flourishes, almost four times the size by bloom time. We'll see what a monster I have on my hands next year.
