Honesty
Genus: Lunaria.
Species: Lunaria biennis.
I have had annual Honesty in my garden for years, but this really puzzled me last year, as it just put on more and more leaves which stayed all through the winter. I even began to think it was something grown from the wild bird seed. Then this year it flowered and was unmistakably Honesty. A self seeder in just the right place. I love it!
