Goringfolly's Garden
Fatsia Japonica
Genus: Fatsia.
Species: Fatsia japonica.
If creating a shrubbery this would be the first plant I would choose. Super glossy green leaves all year long with a wonderful architechtural shape. Interesting flowers as well. If it ever gets too big it can be pruned back severely or stems completely removed. Birds eat the seeds sit on the fence and drop them complete with their own manure. Some of my best plants have been grown that way. Seedlings around the bush will develop quickly. Sometimes prone to blackfly in the central new leaves.
