Species: Helianthus annuus.
So much fun to grow!!! One of the first annuals I sow every year, out of doors in pots around March 21 and transplant them into garden in May once they're big enough to fend off slugs and snails! I usually sow too many and give seedlings to friends. I've had self-seeders in the past which was very exciting.
