Cornuta -Horned violet

I love this small undemanding hardy perennial which resembles a cross between a sweet violet and a bedding viola, the flowers are slightly smaller with narrower petals which gives it a more natural wildflower look. It is lovely for growing in groups of three or five among other small plants towards the front of a border and beautiful as a carpet below roses and in front of hardy geraniums. It will self-seed but not over invasive height 15cm spread 20cm.
