Lavender Kew Red
Genus: Lavandula.
Species: Lavandula stoechas.
Bright cerise-pink flower spikes, topped with long leaf-like soft pink bracts. Evergreen bushlet with narrow grey-green, aromatic foliage.
Suitable for: Plant in sheltered spot in sun in well drained soil. Ideal for tubs and pots
Flowering time: Late spring to early autumn
Height and spread: 45cm x 45cm
Culinary uses: Add flowers to soups and stews. Can be used for make tea and to flavour vinegar and sugar.
Care: Remove dead-heads to prolong flowering. May need protection in Winter.
