Genus: Lavandula.

Species: Lavandula angustifolia.

Planted Vistabile '06 in front path right border
Bought 06.06 from Norfolk Lavender stand, Gardeners' World Live Show for £2.50

This is a free-flowering, dwarf variety which produces spikes of pink flowers throughout late spring and summer. It provides a beautiful fragrance which is ideal for any garden – large or small. Hidcote is a favourite, long blooming shrub which is best planted somewhere where you’ll brush past it daily, so you can enjoy its sweet perfume all summer. Its compact growth habit also makes it ideal for growing in a large container to brighten a deck or patio, or for lining walkways. Handfuls of the blooms can be used in bouquets, pot pourris or in sachets to sweeten your house.
