Vaccinium Miss Cherry ('Meliro')
This Vaccinium vitis-idaea Miss Cherry is a very robust selection of the lingonberry. It is a small evergreen shrub that produces many small, white flowers in summer and carries red berries in autumn and winter. The berries are edible but not very tasty. They are well suited for jams and such. Prefers fertile acidic soil. It is recommended that you use soil suited for rhododendrons. Grows to approx. 35cm (just over 1ft) in height
